Mývatn Marathon leads through the incredible landscape around Mývatn within lava and volcanoes. The run is on flat asphalt road and there are several lengths to choose from: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 3 km. It starts and ends at the Mývatn Nature Bath.
Around the same time the popular Lava Run or Hraunhlaupið takes place. This is a run for experienced runners and families alike.
